Entrance
A nice open marble entrance. Cormorant fishing mosaic tiles are embedded in the upper atrium.
Museum Shop
Museum Shop is located next to the reception.
In addition to publications such as exhibition catalogs, the store carries unique items.
Special exhibition room
We hold special exhibitions and planned exhibitions a few times a year and display fine art and cultural treasure.

Auditorium
With about 170 seats and a stage, lectures and group orientations are held.
Mino country pictorial
This is a ceramic board with a reproduction of “Saiken Mino country pictorial”: a woodblock printing made in 1834. (Source material: Gifu Prefectural Archives collection)
Gifu’s old roofing tiles
Reliefs of Noki-maru-gawara (round, roofing ‘edge tiles’) excavated from Atsumi-ji temple and Nagara-haiji abandoned temple are decorated.

Lectures on this museum and Kato Eizo & Toichi Memorial Art Museum are held.
Library
More than 20,000 books are stored. Not only books of Gifu’s history, but a wide range of genres are included and available. Open to general public. If you would like to use the library, please come to the reception area.
2nd floor
Permanent exhibition room / Special featured exhibition room
Exhibit of complete history from the prehistoric period to the modern period. In addition to our realistic exhibits of the Sengoku period such as reproduction of Rakuichi market and “Tenka: A Birdʼs Eyes View,” visitors can use our information terminals and have hands-on learing sessions at the Hands-on Experience Corner.
In the special featured exhibitions room, we hold mini exhibitions with various themes several times a year.
